Bill Sapp is a professional ballroom Instructor with 32 years experience in both competitve and social ballroom dancing.
Bill has competed throughout the United States and has won numerous Top Teacher and Top studio awards.
He currently teaches group classes in Delaware at the Hockessin Activity Center (PAL center) on Mondays and at the Hockessin Athletic Club (HAC) Tues thru Thursday.
Bill has dances on the 2nd saturday of the month at the Hockessin Athletic Club (HAC) from 6:30-10:30 with a free group lesson from 6:30-7:30. The dances are scheduled to startup again on Sept 13th.
We will not have them in July/August.
Private Lessons are by appointment.

and judging in Salsa and International Latin while developing a strong international reputation

Greg and Laurie will be instructing us in INTERMEDIATE EAST COAST SWING on September 21, 28 and October 5,12,19 and 26.
Our teachers, Greg Avakian and Laurie Zimmerman have been teaching swing in our area for years.
Greg started the West Coast Swing craze at the Silver Rose over 10 years ago with classes that
often reached 80-100 students a week. In Philadelphia, he founded the longest running weekly
Lindy Hop dance in the city. Since then he and Laurie have been teaching workshops around the
country for years at featured weekends, competitions, and dance camps. Laurie Zimmerman has been
teaching with Greg for 8 years and is an established teacher in her own right having traveled across
the country to teach with other instructors as well as Greg.
Together, Greg & Laurie (or "Glory" as their students refer to them) are known for showing dancers
how to "dance the dance" rather than just "doing" the patterns. Their teaching style combines clear,
comprehensive instruction, with a sense of humor and community building. They stress that intermediate
patterns are related to basic technique so that by following a few simple rules, any dance can be much easier.
Swing can be styled in different ways and Greg and Laurie will show us the fastest growing trend in Swing Dancing:
"Smooth-style swing" featuring lots of footwork and cool, slinky styling. Swing is an adaptable dance and is danced
to a variety of music from blues to motown to big band jazz.
Whether you dance east coast swing or west coast swing, you will love this class.
